It can tell you how this works. It cannot tell you whether a bank will say yes, and it will not pretend to.

What this costs you
Nothing. Here is who pays us and why that matters.
Nothing. There is no fee to use this, no charge for an application, and nothing taken off what you borrow.
Who pays you then?
The bank does. When finance goes through, the bank that provided it pays us a fee for bringing them the application and preparing it properly. That is how every bond originator in South Africa works, and it is a cost the bank carries rather than one added to your loan.
If your finance does not go through, nobody pays us anything.
Does that mean you push me to a particular bank?
It should not, and the way it is built makes it hard to.
The offers are ranked on what the finance costs you over its whole life — not the monthly figure, and not what any bank pays us. Where the cheapest monthly payment and the cheapest overall are different banks, the screen says so plainly instead of quietly preferring one.
You choose. We cannot choose for you.
Is the rate worse because you are involved?
No. The rate you are offered is the bank's own decision about you, based on your income and your credit record. An application that is properly prepared and properly motivated tends to get a better answer than one that is not, which is the actual argument for using somebody like us.
What about the lump sum on a vehicle?
That is called a balloon or a residual, it is part of the bank's deal rather than ours, and we will always show it. It is money you still owe at the end, not a discount. See Reading an offer.
